Frequently asked questions about this product
The higher the load, the higher the Shore hardness should be. We will be happy to advise you.
Spring-loaded roller guides provide significantly greater ride comfort and noticeably reduce running noise. Thanks to their suspension, they reliably compensate for rail joints and unevenness. Especially at higher travel speeds, they contribute to a quieter ride and reduce the load on the lift installation. Rigid roller guides, on the other hand, are mainly suitable for off-centre applications with lower speeds and simple operating conditions. Our ETN team will be happy to help you choose the right roller guide for your installation.
ETN offers an extensive range of high-quality roller guides for a wide variety of applications in lift technology. These include spring-loaded and rigid roller guides, roller guides for cabins, counterweights and yoke guides, as well as L-frame, tandem and angled roller guides. This means you will find the right solution for almost every lift installation - from new installations to modernisation. We will be happy to advise you on choosing the optimum roller guide.
The difference lies in the type of sealing. ZZ ball bearings have two metal shields that protect the balls from coarse dirt and are particularly suitable for applications with little contamination. 2RS ball bearings, by contrast, have two contact rubber seals that offer significantly better protection against moisture, dust and dirt. This makes them particularly suitable for more demanding operating conditions. We will be happy to advise you personally on which version is right for your application.
Colour changes in VU rollers are due to the material and do not constitute a quality defect. The raw material Desmodur 15 contained in Vulkollan can discolour when exposed to UV light. This discolouration affects neither the technical properties nor the load capacity or service life of the roller. Rather, the characteristic colour change is considered a typical feature of the material Vulkollan.
